Florence C. Hoffmeister 91, of Urbana died at 2:25 a.m. Monday, October 5, 2009, at Meadowbrook Healthcare Center, Urbana. Graveside services will be at Grandview Memorial Gardens, Champaign at 2:30 PM Wednesday, October 7, Pastor Roger Digges officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd, Urbana. Mrs. Hoffmeister was born May 8, 1918 in Urbana, the daughter of Enos Alvin and Laura Geneiva (Casey) Calder. She married Leland Williamson in 1937 and he preceded her in death in 1992. She later married Donald Hoffmeister of Savoy and he survives. She is also survived by sons; Kenneth E. Williamson and wife Diane Hurd Williamson of Iowa City, IA, Alvin L. Williamson and wife Diane Sweeting Williamson of Iowa City, IA and James J. Williamson of Edwardsburg, MI; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Hoffmeister graduated from Urbana High School and received her Master's degree in Education from the University of Illinois and was a retired school teacher. She attended University Place Christian Church, Champaign and Grace Lutheran Church, Champaign.
