Florence S. Fuchs, 80, of Urbana, passed away at 12:00 P.M. on Monday, May 11, 2015 at Heartland Healthcare Center, Champaign.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at Woodlawn Cemetery in Urbana.

Florence was born in Chicago on February 8, 1935 to parents James and Cecilia (Kostazarek) Svec. They preceded her in death. On June 16, 1953 she married Kenneth E. Fuchs in Chicago; he passed away on June 6, 1994. Also preceding her in death was her son Terry Fuchs.

She is survived by her son Larry Fuchs, daughters, Patricia Fuchs and Dawn (Dan) Callahan, brothers, Richard, James and Thomas Svec, sister, Dorothy Hull, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Florence graduated from St. Mary's high school in Chicago, worked in Customer Service at Supervalu/J.M. Jones in Urbana, was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 630. She loved to crochet and crocheted blankets that were donated to the V.A. Hospital in Danville. She also loved the Price is Right.
