Evelyn Dyer, age 97, of Urbana, died 1:38 p.m. Wed. Dec. 20, at Manorcare Health Services in Champaign.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Sat. at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana, the Rev. John Sims officiating. Interment will be at Fairfield Cemetery in Newman. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Fri at the funeral home.

She was born July 9, 1909 at Longview, the daughter of Robert and Myrtle (George) Warnes. She married Teddy R. Dyer on Sept. 17, 1927 in Longview. He preceded her in death on Jan. 18, 1986.

She is survived by five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her children, Jerry L. Dyer, Philip G. Dyer, Janice Shelly and five sisters and two brothers. Mrs. Dyer was a self-employed beautician. A member of First United Methodist Church of Urbana and the Nician Class at the church, 65 year member of Hope Chapter of Order of Eastern Star. She was Grand Rep. of Scotland in Illinois and Past Grand Officer in Illinois in 1972. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting.
