WHITE HEATH, IL- Evan J. Rader, 66, of rural White Heath, IL, passed away at 7:08 P.M., Sunday, May 22, 2011 at his residence.

A memorial service will be held 3:00 P.M., Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at the Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana, IL. Rev. Michael Smith will officiate. A reception will follow immediately after the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Rader was born February 8, 1945, in West Frankfort, IL, a son of Evan A. and Carrie Mae (Taylor) Rader. He married Nancy Baker on August 16, 1986 in Champaign, IL. She survives. Also surviving are two children, Renee Rader and Bryan Rader, both of Champaign; Two grandchildren, a great grandchild and a brother, Sydney Rader of Random Lake, WI. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Rader graduated from Springfield High School and attended Southern Illinois University. He was a field service engineer for medical equipment companies for many years. He loved playing pool and bridge. His interests included mathematics, philosophy, linguistics, and music.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the South Side Elementary School Activity Fund, 712 S. Pine St., Champaign, IL 61820.
