Eva Harriett Williams, 89, of Urbana died at 6:37 p.m. Thursday February 21, 2013 at Champaign County Nursing Home, Urbana. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday February 27 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana with Pastor Phil Owen officiating. Burial will be at the Beckman Cemetery near Thomasboro. Visitation will be at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 5 to 8.

Mrs. Williams was born April 18, 1923 in Urbana, the daughter of Rezin S. and Stella (Parrett) Franklin. She married Edward "Eddie" Wayne Williams in August of 1946. He preceded her in death on April 14, 1981.

She is survived by seven children, Rosemary Saxe (Roger) of Issaquah, Washington, Patricia Clevenger English (Joe) of Daytona Beach, Florida, Earl Williams (Brenda) of Monticello, Edward Lynn Williams (Linda) of Philo, David Williams (Donna) of Chicago, Susan Panepinto (Thomas) of Fithian and Nancy Cardinale of Springfield, many grandchildren and great grandchildren and a brother, Wilbur "Wib" Franklin of Washington State. She is preceded in death by her husband, Eddie, daughter, Norma Jean McQueen, parents, eight siblings and one granddaughter, Tove Kirchner.

Mrs. Williams attended Urbana schools and was a stenographer and extra help at the University of Illinois. She attended Maranatha Baptist Church in Rantoul and also enjoyed sewing.
