Eugene Lee, 59, of Urbana passed away at 4:03 a.m., Friday, February 24, 2012 among his family at his home in Urbana. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Lee's son, Evangelist Benjamin Lee, will officiate. Burial will be at Lincoln Memorial Gardens in Urbana.

Mr. Lee was born September 18, 1952 to parents Charles Clay and Mary (Brown) Lee at Burnham Hospital in Champaign. He married Sharon Hensley October 26, 1972 in Urbana; she survives. Also surviving are daughter; Tanya DePeiza (Ryan), of Chicago, son; Benjamin Lee (Nikki), of Beaumont, Texas, brothers; Joseph Lee, of Texas, Ernest Lee (Nadine), of Ohio, and grandson; Joshua Lee, of Beaumont, Texas. Eugene was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers; Charles Lee, Sr., John Henry Lee, Sr., and sister; Rosie Lee.

Eugene was a self-employed contractor and also ran his own lawn care and snow removal business. He was a highly organized person, and enjoyed working on home improvement projects for his family and friends.
