Eugene "Gene" "Chicken" "Chicke" Drollinger 70 of Champaign died at 11:30 a.m. Monday, December 26, 2011 at home.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at the Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, Urbana.

Mr. Drollinger was born on April 17, 1941 in Champaign; the son of Eugene Olen and Vera Hershbarger Drollinger. He married Helen Markstahler Marett on July 17, 1990 in Punta Gorda, Florida; she survives.

Also surviving are one daughter; Jennifer (Robert) Douglas of Tuscola, one step-son; James (Gayle) Marett of Urbana, one step-daughter; Theresa (Dave) Skonseng of Champaign, two sisters; Donna (Jay) Gossett and Vicki (Victor) Toews both of Champaign, two grandchildren; five step-grandchildren, and nine step-great grandchildren.

Mr. Drollinger was a member of the Elks, and avid golfer, bowler, Illini and Mets fan.
