Ethel W. Hurley, 84 of Urbana, Illinois, formerly of Springfield, Oregon, died at 8:55 a.m. October 13 at Clark-Lindsey Village, Urbana. Mrs. Hurley was born February 9, 1923 in Washington, D.C., the daughter of Eddie and Leila Watts. She married Charles Warren Hurley on January 17, 1942. She was preceded in death by her husband and her son, Robert Hurley. She is survived by her son, Walter (Carol) Hurley of Champaign, Illinois, granddaughter, Wendy (John) Whitmer of Nine Mile Falls, Washington and two great-grandchildren. Ethel was a loving wife and mother. There will be no local services and burial will be in Springfield Memorial Gardens, Springfield, Oregon. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
