Estel C. (Shorty) Hutchison, 86, of Champaign died at 11:50 p.m. Mon, Jan. 29, 2007 at Carle Foundation Hospital, U.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Sat. Feb. 3, 2007 at Mt. Hope Mausoleum, C, the Rev. Steven Brady will officiate. Entombment will be at Mt. Hope Mausoleum in Champaign. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Fri. Feb. 2, 2007 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory.

Mr. Hutchison was born on March 31, 1920 in Aurora, MO, the son of John E. and Maude B. Clanton Hutchison. He married Mary Helen Thomas on May 21, 1941 in New Franklin, Mo; she died on Jan. 14, 2000.

Surviving are a daughter; Dorsey Cleo Hutchison of Champaign, two grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and four great grandchildren and a sister; Ethel Snodgrass of Nixa, MO.

He was preceded in death by six brothers and four sisters.

Mr. Hutchison a truck driver for Jewel-Eisner Company in Champaign.

He was a member of Unity Baptist Church in Champaign and the Urbana Sportsman Club.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Unity Baptist Church.
