Eric A. Dyke, 25, of Rossville, Illinois died at 10:50 P.M. Saturday, November 4, 2006 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, Illinois.

Local funeral services will be held at 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 8, 2006 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, Urbana, Illinois. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Fern Cliff Cemetery, Springfield, Ohio.

Visitation and funeral services will also be held in Springfield, Ohio. Jones-Kenney-Zechman Funeral Home, Springfield, Ohio is in charge.

Mr. Dyke was born on March 30, 1981 in Olympia, Washington, the son of Sam Dyke and Celeste Van Riper Smith.

Survivors include his parents; Sam and Donna Dyke of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Celeste and Warren Smith of Springfield, Ohio. Paternal Grandmother; Elicia Dyke of Turlock, California, Maternal Grandfather; Arthur Gray of Springfield, Ohio, Sister; Angela Watson of Jacksonville, Florida, three step-brothers; Damien Smith of Springfield, Ohio, Troy Thompson of Oelwein, Iowa and Jason Thompson of Hazleton, Iowa, a step-sister; Amy (Mark) Clay of Springfield, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his Paternal Grandfather and Maternal Grandmother.

Mr. Dyke was a student at Danville Area Community College majoring in Electronic Engineering and was employed at Red Lobster in Danville.

He was interested in working on cars, car stereo's computers and fishing.
