Emma Bolton, 79, of Urbana died at 10:30 p.m. July 1, 2011, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 7, 2011 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Road, Urbana. Pastor Jud Travis will officiate. Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery, Urbana. The public is invited to join in fellowship following the committal service at the Carroll Community Center, 1210 Carroll Ave., Urbana.

Mrs. Bolton was born Oct. 12, 1931, in Urbana, the daughter of Benjamin and Iva Ward. She married Richard Bolton, Sr. on May 8, 1949, in Urbana. He preceded her in death on August 26, 2007.

Survivors include five children, Richard C. Bolton, Jr. (Pamela), of Florida, Edna Davis (Bill), of Sidney, Paula May (Bill), of Florida, Linda Hodak (Terry), of California, and Robert Bolton (Carol), of Urbana; son-in-law, Ron Eagan, of Urbana; 19 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two brothers; and three sisters. Emma was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and one daughter, Lillian May Eagan.

Mrs. Bolton was employed at Collegiate Cap and Gown for 20 years and enjoyed doing word searches and playing bingo and cards.
