Eloise "Weezie" Gyuran 86, of Mahomet died at 12:45 p.m. Monday, July 16, 2007 at Provena Covenant Medical Center, Urbana.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 20, 2007 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, Urbana. The Rev. Marvin Orewiler will officiate. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Springfield. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Gyuran was born on May 8, 1921 in Salisbury Township, Illinois, the daughter of Lee Leonard and Merub Moyer Wells Sr. She married George Gyuran Sr. on April 12, 1947 in Springfield; he died on Feb. 11, 1975.
Survivors include two sons; Gary Lee (Linda) Gyuran of Mahomet and George Gyuran of Mattoon, one sister; Donna Selvaggio of Springfield and Lee L. (Bud) Wells of Pleasant Plains, four grandchildren and six great grandchildren and her loving friend; Ted Shaffer.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.
Mrs. Gyuran graduated from Springfield High School and was a Bookkeeper for the Plumbers & Steamfitters Local 149 and also Tatman Towing.
She was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church and attended the Cowboy Church in Farmer City.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Cunningham Children's Home or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
