Ellen E. Nalley, 83, of Villa Grove, formerly of Urbana, died 3:10 a.m. Friday, July 31 at Mason Point Nursing Home in Sullivan.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, August 11 at Grandview Memorial Gardens in Champaign, Rev. Tyson Graves will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd. Urbana.

Mrs. Nalley was born December 25, 1925 in Indiana, the daughter of William and Maude (Johnson) Smith. She married John E. Nalley and he preceded her in death. She is survived by a daughter, Susan Grandfield of Blue Mound, a brother, Ray Smith of Colorado, a sister Ruth Greshem of Lexington, KY, four grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, one great-great grand child and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Nalley graduated from Urbana High School and was a payroll clerk at Meadow Gold Dairy in Champaign. She was a member of Webber St. Church of Christ, Urbana, enjoyed singing and was a member of the church choir. Memorial contributions may be made for the benefit of the family.
