Obituary

Elizabeth Farkas was born Elizabeth Muzsik in Budapest, Hungary. She lived through a lot of hard times during WW II and the subsequent Russian occupation. She immigrated to the United States with her husband and children during the Hungarian Revolution of 1956. The family lived in Mt. Pulaski for a brief period before settling in Lincoln where Elizabeth and her husband Louis Farkas worked for St. Mary's Church for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1973. In 1977 she moved away from Lincoln.

Elizabeth is survived by her three children; Elizabeth Ujhelyi of Champaign, Louis Farkas of Lincoln and Irene Cerklewski in Oregon. She also leaves behind granddaughters; Betty Ujhelyi, Sara Notto and grandsons; David and Joseph Farkas, Christopher and James Cerklewski and great grandson; Josh Farkas. Great grandson Alex Farkas preceded her in death.

She will be missed very much by her family and will be remembered for her happy ways, her warm heart and devotion to her family.
