Elizabeth "Betty" Alexander, died Friday March 16th at her home in Urbana, at the age of 89. She was born Elizabeth Bowman and grew up in Gillespie Illinois. She attended the University of Illinois and in the late 50s and 60s operated a tailor shop in Champaign. She was an active member of her Urbana neighborhood and enjoyed her many feline companions. She is preceded in death by her husband "Gene" and her brother Jim. She is survived by her sister Ellen and three nephews.

Private memorial services will be held at a later date. Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
