Tippy Licht

Urbana- Elinor L. "Tippy" Licht, 80, of Urbana, died at 4:03 p.m. Monday, November 21, 2011 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana. Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, November 26 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana with visitation one hour prior to service time. Burial will be in Locust Grove Cemetery, Philo and Rev. J. Michael Smith will officiate.

Mrs. Licht was born March 31, 1931 in Champaign, the daughter of Matthew and Lois (Coon) Tipton. She married Nelson E. Licht on July 14, 1951 in Urbana. He preceded her in death on October 22, 2001. She is also preceded in death by a brother, Charles W. Tipton. Survivors include at son; Thomas Licht of Urbana, daughter; Starr Dalton (Ed) of Urbana and granddaughter; Betsy Dalton of Urbana.

Mrs. Licht graduated from Urbana High School in 1949. She was a bookkeeper for Champaign County Bank and Trust and later for Busey Bank. She enjoyed playing cards, bowling and spending time with her family.
