Elfriede Butler, age 70, of Urbana, Ill., died 9:45 a.m. Tuesday, November 14, 2006, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, Ill. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, November 18, 2006 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana, with Danny Roberts officiating. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Urbana. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Mrs. Butler was born Nov. 17, 1935 in West Germany, the daughter of Friedolin and Bertha Haag Wimmer.

She married Harold S. Butler Feb. 13, 1960 in Kewanee, he survives. Also surviving is a daughter, Linda Santos of Urbana, a son, Richard Butler of Kings Bay, GA, a sister, Lydia of Germany and grandchildren, Tala Santos, Camron Butler and Casey Butler. She is preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Butler was a nurse's aid at Champaign County Nursing Home, Urbana and was a member of Webber Street Christian Church, Urbana.
