Elena Coad 79 0f Champaign died at 11:05 a.m. Monday, July 27, 2009 at Provena Covenant Medical Center, Urbana.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, July 30, 2009 at Eastlawn Cemetery, Urbana. The Rev. Marsh Jones will officiate. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. - 12:45 p.m. Thursday at Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, Urbana.

Mrs. Coad was born on May 11, 1920 in Gary, Indiana, the daughter of Frank Mareno and Helen Dean Ochoa. She married Charles M. Coad on May 7, 1948 in Urbana, he died on July 2, 1997.

Survivors include; two sons; David Coad of Champaign, Charles Coad of Urbana, one daughter; Karen Coad of Joplin, Missouri, seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by an infant son; Marion, four sisters and one brother.

Mrs. Coad played bingo.
