Eileen Mackey, 95, of Urbana passed away at 9:45 a.m., Thursday, February 7, 2013 at Provena-Covenant Medical Center, Urbana. A memorial reception will be held Tuesday, February 12th from 12:00-1:00 p.m. at Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory. A memorial service will follow the reception at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home. Rev. David D'Armond will officiate. Burial will be held at Grandview Memorial Gardens, Champaign.

Mrs. Mackey was born April 15, 1917 in Henning, Illinois to parents Leroy and Vera (Fairchild) Mitchell. She married Lawrence G. Mackey June 15, 1935 in Danville, Illinois. He preceded her in death April 4, 1965.

Survivors include sons; Larry Mackey (Janet) of Oakwood, David Mackey (Ros), of Tucson, Arizona, daughters; Marlene D'Armond (David) of Marengo, Dorothy Norman, of Urbana, 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren. One brother, one sister, one grandson, and son-in-law, Jim Norman preceded Eileen in death.

Mrs. Mackey was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Urbana and the VFW Auxiliary.
