Edward "Ned" Johnston Filbey, 59, of St. Joseph, IL died November 29, 2011 at Carle Hospital.

His parents Nate and Mary Lou Filbey preceded Ned in death.

His sisters, Kit Filbey of Mesa, AZ, Madge Graham of Gainesville, GA, and Melissa Pillari of Bay Village, OH survive him.

Ned worked his adult life at the Developmental Service Center (DSC). He brought joy wherever he went. A private graveside burial will be held December 1, 2011.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Ned to the DSC 1304 W. Bradley Ave. Champaign, IL 61821. The family requests that all remember the needs of the disabled when voting.
