Edward (Ray) Collins 51, of Urbana died at 8:18 a.m. Wednesday, May 2, 2007 at home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 5, 2007 at the Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, Urbana. Visitation will be held from Noon to 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Grundy cemetery, Bismarck.

Mr. Collins was born on August 31, 1955 in Victoria, Texas, the son of Eddy Ray and Marilyn Kaley Collins. He married Sandy Johnson on June 25, 1984 in Urbana, she survives.

Also surviving are his mother of Urbana, two daughters; Christina McLaughlin of Rantoul and Julie Collins of Urbana, two brothers; Mike Collins of Mahomet and James Collins of Homewood, two sisters; Deanna Falls and T. Rebecca Collins both of Urbana, one grandson Aveon Vann of Urbana.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Mr. Collins was an engineering draftsman at the U of I.

He was a member of the Vineyard Church in Urbana. He enjoyed fishing, and was a Cubs and Bears fan.
