Obituary

Edna Mae Yeargin 74, of Urbana, died Monday, November 3, 2008, at Kindred Hospital in Sycamore.

Funeral services will be Saturday, November 8 at 10:00 a.m. at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd, Urbana. Visitation will from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, November 7 at the funeral home. Rev. Dr. John Sims officiating. Interment will be at Grandview Memorial Gardens in Champaign.

Mrs. Yeargin was born September 17, 1934 in Urbana, the daughter of Lloyd and Myrtle Craig Tenbrook. She married H. E. "Sonny" Yeargin June 17, 1954 in Urbana and he survives. She is also survived by daughters; Candice L. Yeargin of Woodstock, Jill S. Yeargin Tully of Washington; son Gregory L. Yeargin of Champaign; sisters Virginia Gibson of Fort Collins, Colo., Marjorie Fillenworth of Mahomet, Doris Berg Selin of Savoy, brother, Claris Tenbrook of Peoria; grandchildren; Emma C. Tully of Washington, Dylen C. Yeargin of Fithian. She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers; Jack Tenbrook, Urbana and Harley Milton Tenbrook, Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Mrs. Yeargin graduated from Urbana High School in 1952. She was Executive Assistant for the State Geological Survey, Champaign for 44 years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Urbana, enjoyed bowling, golf, reading and was an avid Illini basketball fan.
