Edna L. Hitz, 84, of Urbana, died at 8:30 p.m. August 20, 2010 at Heartland Healthcare Center in Champaign.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 noon, Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel & Crematory 1900 S. Philo Rd. Urbana. Rev. Tom Corum will officiate. Burial will be in Onarga Cemetery.

Edna L. Hitz was born November 28, 1925 in Casey, Illinois a daughter of John C. and Lucy Glover Bradshaw.

She is survived by two children, Timothy L. Hitz, and Vicki L. Hitz both of Urbana; three grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry and Robert Bradshaw; and a sister Ann Himmel.

Mrs. Hitz worked in medical records department for different VA Hospitals, and was a member of United Methodist Church in Champaign.

Edna lived in Buckley, Rantoul and Lansing but moved to Urbana in 1988 to be closer to her family. She enjoyed water aerobics, dancing, bridge, and bible studies. Edna enjoyed life and will be missed by all who knew her.
