URBANA, IL- Edith Harris Camp, 50, of Urbana, died at 12:49 A.M., Monday, April 7, 2008 at Provena Covenant Medical Center, Urbana.

Memorial Services will be held 11:00 A.M., Friday, April 11, 2008 at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Urbana-Champaign, 309 W. Green St., Urbana, IL. Rev. Axel Gehrmann will officiate. Visitation will be held 6-8 P.M., Thursday evening at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana, IL.

Edith was born February 6, 1958 at New Orleans, Louisiana, a daughter of W. Edward and Sandra Gutridge Harris. She married Steven D. Camp on September 26, 1992. He survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Tabitha Grace Camp of Urbana, her parents of Indianapolis, IN., and two brothers: Mark Harris of La Crosse, Wisconsin and Phillip Harris of Indianapolis, Indiana.

Edith graduated from Urbana High School and received her B.S. from Illinois State University, Normal, IL and her M.S.W. from the University of Illinois. She worked as a social worker for the Danville Veterans Administration, Mercy Hospital and Champaign County Nursing Home. She worked for the Champaign Public Library for several years and she was also a homemaker. She most recently worked at Curves in Urbana. She was a member of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Urbana-Champaign, and she enjoyed motherhood, art and altered books. Edith was an organ donor.
