Edgar A. Vilchis 78 of Urbana died at 4:25 a.m. Monday, December 05, 2016 at home.

Graveside services will be held at a later date at the Ridgewood Memorial Park, Des Plaines. Renner-Wikoff Chapel & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Vilchis was born on August 3, 1938 in Chicago, the son of Pedro and Mary Anstett. He married Patricia Ann Johnson in 1962 in Glenview; she survives.

Also surviving are four children; Carole Vilchis of Decatur, Lisa Vilchis of Skokie, Mark Vilchis of Wheeling and Rebecca Eubig of Urbana, three sisters; Carole Ottesen of Potomac, Maryland, Renee' Sickel of Buffalo Grove, Annette Smith of Arlington Heights and eight grandchildren.

Mr. Vilchis retired as a computer programmer and sales with Agie Electronics, Locarno, Switzerland.

He was a member of Glenview Community Church and the IMA.
