Eddie L. Allen 54 of Urbana died at 1:18 a.m. Thursday, December 9, 2010 at Provena Covenant Medical Center, Urbana.

Memorial services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Monday, December 13, 2010 at the American Legion Post 71, Urbana. Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Allen was born on April 2, 1956 in Champaign, the son of Ed and Martha Roper Allen. He married Paula McNichols on December 31, 1982 in Champaign, she survives.

Also surviving are his parents of Urbana, three sons; Jason Allen and Nathan Blake Allen both of Urbana and Matthew Edward Allen of Champaign and one sister; Deborah Davis of Champaign.

Mr. Allen graduated from Urbana High School in 1974, was a self employed carpenter and also with the Carpenters Union Local 44 and was part owner of Billy Bob's in Ogden.

He was a member of the American Legion Post 71 in Urbana and the Moose Lodge in Danville. He enjoyed working with weights and golfing. Was a U of I and Cardinal fan and was an avid sports fan.
