Doris Winters 81 of Urbana died at 7:29 a.m. Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at Provena Covenant Medical Center, Urbana.

Services will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Danville National Cemetery, Danville. Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Winters was born on May 22, 1926 in Fisher, Illinois, the daughter of Charles Thomas and Eliza Dee Baker Reeder. She married Arthur D. Winters on February 26, 1926 in Urbana; he died on June 30, 1987.

Survivors include three sons; Scott Winters of Fisher, Daniel Winters of Alexandra, MO and Stephen Winters of Champaign, one sister; Barb Wiegel of Mansfield, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one sister.

Mrs. Winters was a dispatcher for Yellow Cab.
