Doris Long of Urbana passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2010 at home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 3, 2010 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, Urbana. The Rev. Dr. John Sims will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Urbana. Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Long was born March 14, 1919 at Casey, the daughter of Arthur and Leila Groves. She married Noeland Long on March 19, 1939; he preceded her in death on November 8, 1983. She was also preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, three brothers, a step-daughter, and a daughter in-law. Mrs. Long is survived by two sons, James Long of Sarasota, FL and Philip Long and wife Diane of Port Charlotte, FL. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and three great grand children.

Mrs. Long was a homemaker and member of the First United Methodist Church in Urbana, belonged to the Elks ladies card group, a social sorority and a Red Hat group.

Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 304 S. race St. in Urbana or a charity of choice.
