Doris M. Chergoski, 89 year old resident of Urbana, formerly of Streator, IL passed away Friday, April 12, 2013 from complications of pneumonia.

Doris was born July 18, 1923 in Streator, IL to the late Charles and Charlotte Mae (Petty) Longnecker.

She was married to Leo E. Chergoski on October 16, 1948. He preceded her in death July 11, 1963. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Christopher Hohn of Urbana, many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Doris was also preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Glenn, Charles and Robert Longnecker; sisters; Roberta Carlson, Frances Chergoski, Madge Beamer, Phyllis Briner, Betty Pouk, Jean McCreight, and Margaret Mehalic.

Doris attended Streator Country Grade Schools and graduated from Streator High School.

She retired from Owens Illinois Glass Factory after 39 years. Doris enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles, card games and watching the Cubs.

Cremation rites will be held and memorial services and burial will held at a later date.
