Doris M. Brown, 92, of Urbana passed away Friday, December 23, 2016 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 27 at Woodlawn Cemetery, Urbana. Renner-Wikoff Chapel & Crematory is charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Brown was born October 11, 1924 in Urbana, the daughter of Peter and Gladys Burgett Koehler. She married Oscar "Tom" Brown on June 1, 1947 in Champaign and he preceded her in death on March 31, 1997. She was the last survivor of her family's generation. She is survived by a son, Thomas Twan (Beth) Brown and Tanya (Greg) Rhodes all of St. Joseph, grandchildren, Nichole (Chad) Johnson and Tyler Rhodes and great granddaughter, Karsyn Johnson.

Mrs. Brown is a 1944 graduate of Urbana High School. She was a sales clerk for Robeson's Department Store. After retirement she was a babysitter. She was well liked by her "kids" and put emphasis on reading. She was known as being very caring and giving to the "kids" and their parents, particularly around the Holiday.
