Donnie Roberts, 54, of Urbana, passed away at 7:04 p.m., Thursday, October 1st, 2015 at Carle Foundation Hospital. A celebration of life will be held at 6:00 p.m., Saturday, October 10, 2015 at Charlie's Grub & Suds, 106 W. 1st St., Homer, Illinois.

Donnie was born February 11, 1961 in Los Angeles, California. He is survived by his parents, Larry Roberts Sr. and Dorothy (McConnaughey) Smith, children, Dawn Marie Almonte (Adam), Donnie Lee Roberts Jr. (Kelli), Brittany Star Roberts, siblings, Larry Roberts Jr. (Alison), Dorothy "Sis" Roberts, Carla Ogle, and six grandchildren.

Donnie married Laurie Roberts on Halloween in 1992. She preceded him in death March 5, 2011.

Donnie retired as a welder in Fairmount, Illinois. He was a quintessential Harley rider who was also a fan of the Oakland Raiders and NASCAR- especially Jeff Gordon. Many people knew Donnie as a karaoke superstar at Charlie's Grub & Suds in Homer, Illinois.
