Donna Joyce Shaffer, 93, of Mahomet and formerly of Urbana passed away at 9:40 a.m. on March 23, 2022 at the Bement Health Care Center. Joyce was born on May 15, 1928 in Effingham, Illinois the daughter of Alfred and Nora (Glatis Moulton) Hille. She graduated from Effingham High School in 1946.  She married Louis Richard Shaffer PhD. on August 20, 1955 in Effingham, Illinois. She is survived by her daughter Leslie Ann LeMoine, her sons-Louis Reid(Catie)Shaffer of Durham, N.C. and Steven Craig(Marlene) Shaffer of Libertyville, Il. She had 6 grandchildren and one great grand daughter  Joyce went to Sparks Business School and worked at Reuben H Donnelly of Chicago, The Social Security Admin and The School of Engineering U of I.  Joyce is preceded by her husband.  Joyce was a giver and enjoyed people and fellowship. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at Living Word Omega Message, 1202 N Lombard, Mahomet, Illinois. Pastor Peter Schneider will be officiating.
