Donna Franklin Scheibly, 55 of Urbana, died at 9:13 p.m. Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at home. A time to visit and offer condolences will be on Monday, June 12 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana with a graveside service at 12:00 noon at Mt. Olive Cemetery, Mayview. Pastor Steve Anderson will officiate.

Donna was born in Champaign on July 1, 1961, the daughter of Ralph Richard and Beverly (McCullough) Franklin. She married David A. Scheibly September 9, 1995 in Urbana and he survives. She is also survived by her mother, Beverly Franklin of Urbana, mother-in-law Sherleen Scheibly and step father-in-law Albert Spohrer both of Champaign, several aunts and uncles and numerous cousins. She is preceded in death by her father, Ralph Franklin, brother David Franklin and father-in-law Jim Scheibly.

Donna is a graduate of Urbana High School and a member of First United Methodist Church of Urbana. She worked in the print shop at the University of Illinois and later as a Hostess at The Jolly Roger, Olive Garden and Cracker Barrel restaurants. She performed with a band and enjoyed singing, music, going to movies and spending time with family. She put up a good fight against muscular dystrophy and will be greatly missed.
