Donald Hubert, 61, of Urbana, passed away at 6:18 p.m., Friday, May 16, 2014 at Presence Medical Center in Urbana, due to complications during heart surgery. A memorial reception will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana. A memorial service will be held immediately following the reception at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Grandview Memorial Gardens, Champaign.

Don was born March 30, 1953 in Urbana to parents Donald and Jean (Rosenberger) Hubert. He married Marsha Davis June 22, 1985 in Urbana; she survives.

Also surviving are one son, Kyle Hubert, of Urbana, sister, Connie Hubert, of Urbana, and his grandson, Brendan. He also has numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Don was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Ronald Hubert, and niece, Tammy Hubert.

After graduation, Don worked as an electrician with the Electrical Workers Local #601, until he retired. He also served as the president of the men's Auxiliary for V.F.W. Post 5520. Along with his siblings, he shared a love of hot rods, veteran's affairs, and Native American culture.
