Donald E. Hacker 59, of Urbana died at 9:30 p.m. Friday, January 23, 2009 at home surrounded by his family.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, Urbana. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Urbana. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Hacker was born on October 15, 1949 in Urbana, the son of Lawrence and Helen Wingler Hacker. He married Ann Waters on February 14, 1992 in Urbana, she survives.

Also surviving are three sons; John (Leslie) Hacker of Valier, Doug Hacker of Peoria and Andy (Margo) Hacker of Oakwood, two daughters; Amanda Hacker of Champaign and Debbie (Mike) Willard of Mahomet, two brothers; Jim Hacker of St. Joseph and Bert Hacker of Sidney, two sisters; Marge Prentice of Urbana and June Hudson of Alabama and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother George and one sister Janet.

Mr. Hacker was a Foreman for Connor Company.

He was an avid hunter.
