Obituary

Donald Graham, 72, of Champaign passed away with his wife by his side at his home at 5:06 a.m., Sunday March 2, 2014. A reception will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 10th at Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana. Following the reception, a memorial service at the funeral home will be held at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Tom Corum of First United Methodist Church of Champaign will officiate. Following the service, inurnment will be held in the Mt. Hope Mausoleum in Champaign.

Mr. Graham was born July 28, 1941 in Newton, Illinois to parents Harold and Melba Rose Graham. He married Mary Ann Brahana February 21, 1970 at in Urbana, Illinois. She survives.

Also surviving are sons, Dr. Eric Graham (Nicole), of Charleston, South Carolina, Chad Graham (Meredith), of Champaign, Illinois, sister, Betty King (Don), of Newton, Illinois, and grandchildren, Hudson and Davis Graham, of Charleston, South Carolina, Oliver and Phoebe Graham, of Champaign, Illinois and another grandchild expected soon. Also surviving are brother-in-law, Van Brahana (Rosemary) and nephews, Todd Brahana and Matthew Brahana. Don was preceded in death by his parents.

Don worked for more than 30 years at the News-Gazette in Display Advertising. After retirement he and his wife enjoyed spending much of their time with their family and just being outside walking and biking around Champaign and at their vacation home on Johns Island, South Carolina.
