Donald E. Bohrmann, 84 of Florence, AL, died at 6:15 a.m. Sunday, January 29, 2012 in Florence. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 2 at 12:00 p.m. with visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Thursday at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Gardens, Champaign.

Mr. Bohrmann was born February 6, 1927 in Ashkum, IL, the son of Louis and Bernice (Bollman) Bohrmann. He married Wilma Cribbett and she preceded him in death on October 16, 1988. He later married Virginia (Jenkins) Key and she preceded him in death on June 23, 2012. He is survived by a son, Phillip Bohrmann (Mindy) of Gallion, OH, daughters, Heidi Burwell of Florence, AL and Christi Bohrmann Pace (Joel) of Park Ridge, five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Mr. Bohrmann is a 1946 graduate of Ash-Cliff High School, Clifton and worked as a locomotive engineer at IL Central Gulf Railroad, retiring in 1983. He served in the US Navy as Radioman 3rd Class and was a member of the Moose Lodge No. 1288, Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers No. 602, American Legion Jefferson Post No. 141 and member and past president of Champaign Eagles Lodge No. 3075.
