Dolores Mae Williams, 82, of Urbana passed away at 10:25 a.m., Wednesday, July 17th, 2013 at Champaign County Nursing Home, Urbana. A reception will be held Saturday, July 27th, 2013 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana. A memorial service will follow the reception at 7:00 p.m., with Rev. Terry Strom officiating. A private burial will be held in Old Union Cemetery, Blair, Illinois.

Mrs. Williams was born August 29, 1930 in Effingham, Illinois to parents Arnold and Cora (Boerngen) Ziegler. Dolores married Jack Williams on March 12, 1954, in Effingham. He preceded her in death on April 2nd, 1996. She married her second husband, Harold Hawkins, March 8th, 2003. He preceded her in death August 27, 2007.

Survivors include son, Greg Williams (Dedra), of Urbana, grandchildren, Jackie Williams, of Urbana, Nick Williams, of Waterloo, Iowa, Mark Williams, of Urbana, and great-grandchildren, Coy Williams and Hannah Halley, of Urbana. Dolores was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Shirley Shadwell.

Mrs. Williams began her career as an assistant cook at the University of Illinois. By the time she retired in 1992, she had become Food Production Manager at Illinois Street Residence Hall. Dolores was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Urbana. She loved cooking and watching baseball.
