Dolores Mae Holhubner, 80 of Urbana passed away peacefully with her family by her side to be with the Lord at 12:36 pm. Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Urbana, the Rev. Terry Strom officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens, Champaign. There will be no public visitation. Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Holhubner was born on May 6, 1929 in Centralia, the daughter of Dennis Paul and Marguerite Klein Sloan.

Surviving are her husband; Fredrick J. Holhubner, one son; Fredrick C. (Jennifer) Holhubner of Urbana and two grandchildren; Maribeth Holhubner and Christian Holhubner.

She was preceded in death by one brother; Charles Edward Sloan.

Mrs. Holhubner after graduating from Centralia High School attended Southern Illinois University at Carbondale majoring in Home Economics with emphasis on Clothing and Interior design. At Southern she met Fred Holhubner, following a college romance they were married on March 31, 1951 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Centralia.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Urbana where she was active throughout her life as a Sunday school teacher, bible classes, flower lady and she had a strong faith in the Lord.

Mrs. Holhubner was previously a member of Extension Wives, U of I Women's Club, antique interest groups, University Club and bridge clubs, Moose and Elks.

She was interested in sewing, clothing construction, modeling, antique refinishing, and interior home decorating.

A devout Christian and loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother, she will be remembered and missed.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Urbana.
