Diane Jo Owens, 61, of Urbana passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at her residence.

A Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel & Crematory in Urbana. Cremation rites will be accorded and a service will be held in Paris Tennessee at a later date.

Diane was born on August 9, 1954 in Paris, TN to parents Joe and Missie Ray. They preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were two brothers and one granddaughter.

On February 9, 2004 she married Dennis Owens in Henry County. He survives. Also surviving are her daughters; Christie Tharpe (Rodney) of Paris, TN, Keisha Alexander of Lexington, KY and Missie Dunlap of Champaign. Nineteen grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive her.

Diane was a graduate of Henry County High School and a member of Bird's Creek Baptist Church in Whitlock, TN. After moving to Illinois she became a member of Love Corner Church of God in Champaign. She worked as a self-employed childcare provider for sixteen years.

She enjoyed shopping, cooking and fellowshipping with friends and family. Diane had an infectious personality. She loved life and giving what she could to help anyone, whether it be financial, emotional or just being in one's corner. Everyone she came in contact with just fell in love with her.
