Dennis W. Schroeder of Champaign, IL formerly of Courtland, MN, passed away on March 28, 2007 in Champaign at the age of 84.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 2, 2007 at the Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, Urbana, Pastor Greg Pufahl will officiate. Burial will be in the New Ulm Cemetery, New Ulm. MN. Visitation will be held from 3 - 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

He was born Aug. 2, 1922 in Courtland, MN, the son of Walter and Ida Harmening Schroeder, he married Grace Mielke on Aug. 23, 1944 in New Ulm, MN.

He is survived by his wife, Grace, four daughters; Judith (Richard) Schugel, Linda (Jerome) Scharbach, Lea Ann (Douglas) Windschitl and Nancy Woltman, one son; Dean (Kelly) Schroeder. He also enjoyed his 13 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

Mr. Schroeder was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Earl Schroeder.

Mr. Schroeder farmed in Courtland, MN till retirement and was a member of the Star of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Savoy, IL. He enjoyed gardening, bird feeding, reading, and playing cards with his grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Star of Bethlehem Church Building Fund or Carle Hospice.
