Dennis E. Larson, 62 of Champaign, died at 10:10 p.m. Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 20 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana with Pastor Rich Gregory officiating. Burial will be at East Lawn Cemetery, Urbana. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Mr. Larson was born August 18, 1949 in Freeport, IL the son of Harold Earl Larson and Donna Mary (Lyon) Larson. He is preceded in death by his parents and one infant brother. He is survived by his wife, Susan (Tarter) Larson; Daughters, Christine Johnson of Savoy and Wendy Locklear of Baltimore, MD; Brothers, David (Laura) Larson of Marquette Heights, IL, Terry (Sony) Larson of El Paso, IL and Mike (Donna) Larson of Normal; Sisters, Patricia (Paul) Hood of Kewanee, IL, Pamela (Randall) Hampton of Daytona Beach, FL and Penney (Bob) Grabbe of Kewanee, IL; Several Nieces and Nephews: Lesa Hampton, Chicago, Jeff (Lisa) Hampton of Kewanee, Kevin (Brandi) Hampton of Kewanee, Liz (Nathan) Larson of Bloomington, Eric Larson of Marquette Heights, Thomas Larson of Marquette Heights, Harold Larson of El Paso, Joshua Larson of El Paso, Jeremiah Larson of El Paso, Hannah Larson of El Paso, Daniel Larson of Bloomington, Andrea Larson of Bloomington, Shelia Vaughn of Bloomington, Bryan (Leah) Hampton of Quincy, MA, Bradley Hampton of South Daytona, FL; grandchildren, Alex, Ruby, Elena and Roman.

Mr. Larson was a graduate of Kewanee High School, attended the University of Illinois was a retired postal worker and worked at the Champaign/Urbana MTD. He served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War and he enjoyed electronic technology including computer technology. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and family.
