David Matthew Hursey "David Matthew" 23, passed away Sunday, November 23 in Urbana. Surviving are his parents Darren and Dawn Hursey, his brother Daniel Hursey ( Lynn Rungee ), his paternal grandmother, Laura Hursey, maternal grandparents Roy and Delena Rhodes and his stepfather Steve Burgess. David was an uncle to Chloe, Olivia and Meadow. Along with his aunts Trenny Rhodes and Deborah Hursey and uncles Michael Hursey (Teri ), Stan Hursey, Brian Hursey, Eric Hursey ,Frank Rhodes and numerous cousins. David was a friend to so many. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, George Hursey. David was born Sept.23,1989 in Urbana, Illinois, a son of Darren and Dawn Hursey. He graduated from Urbana High School and continued his education at The Art Institute of California at Los Angeles studying Graphic Design. He loved creating art and drawing. He was an avid swimmer so much that he was a lifeguard at the Urbana Aquatic Center. He loved music, traveling, working out and enjoying time spent with his friends. He loved to laugh and make others do so. His humor was contagious. The celebration of his life services will be at 11:00 am Friday, Nov. 30 at Renner-Wikoff Funeral Home, 1900 S. Philo Rd. Urbana. The Rev. Grogan from Stone Creek Church in Urbana will officiate. Visitation will be from 5-8pm Thursday, Nov. 29 at Renner- Wikoff Funeral Home. Come and celebrate David's life with us.
