SAVOY, IL- E. Darlene Pellum, 78, of Savoy, passed away at 11:40 A.M., July 9, 2008 at home.

Darlene was born October 1, 1929 in Champaign, IL, a daughter of William and Ruby Munnis. She married Richard A. Pellum on October 15, 1950 at Champaign, IL. He preceded her in death on February 4, 1980.

She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Wilson and Patty Stadelman, both of Bandon, Oregon; a son, Alan Richard (Rebecca) Pellum of Beresford, South Dakota ; one grandson, David of Oregon and two sisters, Joyce Kerkstra of Loda, IL and Judy Tippett (Dick) of Wilmington, Deleware; one step-sister, Cheryl Eggers (Denny) of Gilbert Arizona, many nieces, nephews and good friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, David Munnis and a grandson, Ryan.

She graduated from Champaign High School in 1948 and moved to San Diego, CA in 1966. She worked for PSA Airlines for 21 years and was able to travel to many places in the world.

Her cremation will be handled by Renner-Wikoff Chapel, Urbana, and a private service will take place later in the Poconos of Pennsylvania. Her remains will be scattered along with her mother's, Ruby Wallen, who passed away July 30, 2007.
