Daniel Lee Loeschen, 66, of Urbana passed away at 6:45 a.m. on Friday, November 11, 2016 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.

Cremation rites will be accorded and a Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel & Crematory in Urbana.

Dan was born on October 9, 1950 in Champaign to parents Ralph and Shirley (Evans) Loeschen.

On May 17, 1980 he married Marcia Wheeler in Rantoul. Survivors include his wife Marcia, mother Shirley Loeschen of Rantoul, brother Ralph (Nancy) Loeschen Sr. of Mahomet, sister, Sharon Rorem of Rantoul, niece and nephews, Sally (Steve) Jamerson, Ralph (Lara) Loeschen Jr., Charles (Angela) Loeschen, Aaron Rorem and four great nieces and nephews, Kelsey, Gage, Brendan and Gabby.

Dan was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Loeschen.

Dan graduated from Centennial High School and attended Eastern Illinois University. Dan was retired from Associated Transfer and Storage in Champaign.

He always had something good to say about everyone he met. Dan loved all dogs. His friends and family knew that his "Yorkie Kids" had a special place in his heart. Chance and Kodi will miss him greatly.
