URBANA-Dan Deloney, 66 of Urbana left to be with his Lord on Saturday, February 7, 2009. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00p.m., Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 Philo Road, Urbana. Funeral service will be at 11:00a.m., Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at Grace United Methodist Church, 2004 Philo Road, Urbana. Burial service will immediately follow at Eastlawn Cemetery, Urbana. Reverend Michael Smith will officiate services. Mr. Deloney was born June 20, 1942 in Venice, Illinois, a son of Elmer and Delphia Deloney. He married Judy Steenbergen on August 21, 1960 in Urbana. He Graduated from Urbana High School in 1960. He was employed by Sears Roebuck and Co. in management for 37 years, and was a Program Manager for the Parkland Business Development Center for 7 years, prior to retiring to spend more time with his family. Survivors include his wife, Judy Deloney of Urbana, IL; mother Delphia Deloney of Granite City, IL; sons Mike Deloney (Deanna), Overland Park, KS, and Scott Deloney (Julie) of Plainfield, IN; daughter Stephanie Deloney of Urbana, IL; sisters Sharon George of Woodbridge, VA, Teresa Staicoff and Jo Ellen Provence of Granite City, IL; grandchildren Bailey and Ryan Deloney of Overland Park, KS, and Nathan Deloney of Plainfield, IN; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Elmer Deloney, and sister Glenna Prater. Mr. Deloney was a loving son, husband, father, and grandfather. He savored every moment with his family, was an avid Fighting Illini and St. Louis Cardinals fan, and enjoyed golfing with family and friends. During his life, he touched the lives of many and will be missed dearly. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace United Methodist Church, 2004 Philo Road, Urbana.
