Dale Leon Moyer, 73, of Champaign, passed away at his home March 27, 2017. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 3, 2017 at Grandview Memorial Gardens, with Pastor Rich Gregory officiating.

Dale was born April 6, 1943 in Champaign, Illinois to parents Raymond Dale Moyer and Pauline (Pellum) Broderick. Survivors include his mother, stepsister, Pamela Rhoades, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, stepfather, Joseph M. Broderick, stepbrother, Joseph A. Broderick, and stepsister, Sheila Broderick.

After graduating high school, Dale enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he served in the 809th Security Police Squadron. This prepared him for his civilian career as a night security officer for the Urbana School District.
