Constance (Connie) Difanis, 62 of Urbana died at 3:15 a.m. Sun. Feb. 11, 2007 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday. Feb. 15, 2007 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Urbana, the Rev. Fr. Joseph Hogan will officiate. Burial will be in Yearsley Cemetery, Urbana. Visitation will be held from 4 - 8 p.m. Wed, Feb. 14, 2007 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church Parish Center, Urbana. A Prayer service will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory Urbana is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Difanis was born on March 2, 1944 in Urbana, the daughter of James C. and Elizabeth Marriott Conerty, she married Thomas Difanis on Dec. 28, 1996 in Urbana, he survives.

Also surviving are her mother of Urbana, two sons; Matthew J. Armstrong of Chicago and Matthew Difanis of Mahomet, six daughters; Anastasia (Stasi) Nilles of Chicago, Elizabeth (Betsi) Solava, Jennifer R. Difanis, Katherine E. Difanis, Anne Difanis and Aimee Difanis all of Urbana, two brothers; J. Thomas Conerty of Denver, Co and Michael R. Conerty of Urbana, a sister; Beth Anderson of Urbana and five grandchildren; Sophia, Jackson, Joseph, Megan and Gabriel.

She was preceded in death by her father.

She owned The Learning Tree Daycare Center in Urbana for 15 years; she was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Urbana, the Mayview Home Extension, Neighborhood Social Club and the St. Patrick's Guild. She enjoyed her grandchildren and all her family and friends.
