Clyde E. (Sonny) Perry Jr., 83 of Urbana died at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 15, 2007 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, Urbana. The Rev. Ed Potts will officiate. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens, Champaign. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Friday, September 14, 2007 at the funeral home.

Mr. Perry was born on May 29, 1924 in Urbana, the son of Clyde and Bernice Knott Perry Sr., he married Beverly Wascher on May 29, 1945 in Urbana, she died on June 16, 1971. He then married Doris Hyatt-Burke on December 26, 1978 in Urbana, she survives.

Also surviving are three sons; Tim Perry of Clearwater, Florida, Mike Perry of Salem, New Hampshire and Chris Perry of New Port Richey, Florida, four daughters; Phyllis Perry of Hudson, Florida, Benita Humes and Dorinda Sides both of Mahomet and Tina Burke-Eastin of Tolono, twenty four grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, one brother and two sisters.

Mr. Perry was a driver for the President of the University of Illinois.

He was a member of New Life Christian Fellowship, Urbana and the Eagles in Champaign.
