Clayton L. Zindars 68, of Mahomet died at 4:15 a.m. Thursday, October 15, 2009 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

There will be no public services. Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Zindars was born on March 2, 1941 in Urbana, the son of Carl A.E. and Oda Greathouse Zindars.

Survivors include one son; Craig Zindars of Champaign, one daughter; Jennifer Zindars of Long Wood, Florida, seven brothers and sisters; Dick (Dianne) Zindars, Carlene (Bill) Johnson, Jim (Sharon) Zindars, Jerry (Denise) Zindars, Chuck (Tammy) Zindars, Tammy (Marty) Schroeder all of Mahomet and Linda (Tim) Chapman of Poplar Grove and three grandchildren; Ian Zindars, Sophia Zindars and Isabella Zindars.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Zindars was a graduate of Mahomet High School in 1959.

He was a Real Estate agent and contractor.

Mr. Zindars was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the American Legion, Mahomet Masonic Lodge #220, and the Carpenters Local Union.

He enjoyed basketball, fishing, baseball and reading.
